I decided to start this blog because I like to travel and I like to write. Writing is a great way to reflect on and learn from past experiences, and I hope that by writing this blog I can be more intentional about what I do and help others along the way.
Some things about me that you may find in future posts: I like to travel light and affordably, but you won’t find me weighing my bag for the lightest-possible weight or sleeping in hostels. I will spend a little extra money if it’s worth the experience to me, but I’m not particularly fond of excess or waste. I’m interested in checking out the popular tourist attractions, but I’m also eager to explore neighborhoods to get a taste of everyday life.
I think we’re all born as world citizens, but I’d like to feel like I’ve earned the title. What that means to me is connecting with other cultures, and the main way to do that, in my opinion, is to travel.
So if travel is within your means right now, I hope I can encourage you to explore, or that I can give you another viewpoint as you plan your next trip. I’m also hoping that I might learn from any readers who may have a different experience or point of view on the things I write about. And if travel isn’t something you can do right now, at the very least, I hope I can give you a peek into what lies beyond the horizon.
